R&D Manager

Requirements:

  • At least 6 years of professional software development experience
  • At least 2 years in a people and/or team management
  • Experience in leading and developing a team of at least 5 engineers
  • Solid understanding of SDLC
  • Be an expert in at least one of the following technologies: Java, .NET, Unity3D
  • Experience in gaming or igaming industry
  • Problem solving skills, keeping overview with an eye for detail
  • Pro-active ‘can do’ mentality
  • Good spoken and written English

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams on the delivery of new product features
  • Motivate and develop your team to achieve high productivity and morale
  • Support to team and create a working environment that allows everyone to work to the best of their abilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of projects
  • Introduce and sustain development processes aimed at high quality and efficiency
  • Identify projects risks and manage them
  • Build and lead a team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development
  • Recruit and lead scrum teams from an engineering perspective
  • Design and challenge architectural decision
  • Responsible for work standards and tools across all disciplines in the R&D, setting coding review standards
  • Lead the development of both: backend and cross-platform client
  • Responsible for the production environment
  • Lead technical initiatives in the R&D unit

Will be a plus:

  • Experience in mobile development
  • Experience in Unity3D
  • Experience in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience in NoSQL Databases
  • Experience in Angular or React front-end development
  • Experience in Java
